Ms. Evensen’s intellectual property law practice focuses on litigation disputes and patent prosecution. Her litigation experience includes district court practice, appellate court practice, and arbitrations involving, inter alia, patent infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets, unfair competition, false advertising, fraud and breach of contract.
As a licensed patent attorney, Ms. Evensen’s patent prosecution experience expands into broad areas of technology such as computer, Internet, mechanical, and medical arts as well as business methods. Her practice also includes opinion writing and preparing ex parte and inter partes requests for reexamination with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
In addition to other topics, Ms. Evensen has published articles addressing “greenwashing” and the risks inherent to making statements about a product’s environmental impact. She has received numerous accolades, including being twice named a Rising Star by Illinois Super Lawyers.
